LION'S MANE
Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) Mushrooms have long been used in eastern medicine and are proving to have several health benefits. Some of the most common are their unique ability to boost brain functions and stimulate the growth and connection of new brain cells even in the elderly. Studies are still being done but results have been positive especially in early cases of Dementia. Additional benefits include relief from mild depression and anxiety, speeding recovery of nervous system injuries, and reduction in heart disease related issues.
We recommend that you take 10-15 drops twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. You may start with a lower dose to test for any possible allergies to Lions Mane, they are rare unless you tend to have mushroom allergies. It does not matter if you take it before or after a meal. Lions Mane has a mild mushroom taste, some find it a pleasant bitter. You can also taste with our duel extracted potent tincture the hint of vodka, which is the alcohol base used to keep your tincture fresh and vibrant. Every body is different, suggested maximum daily dosage would be 8-10 grams and a minimum of 20-30 drops, 1.5 to 2 grams per day to see results especially for cognitive improvements. Some leading manufactures of Lions Mane Tinctures recommend 45 drops twice a day, about 6 grams. Our tincture is very potent and would suggest 2-4 grams daily. About 15 drops of tincture equals 1 gram.
Why would you want to take more than 20-30 drops a day? If you are taking Lions Mane and have been diagnosed with dementia, or have a compromised immune system and need a stronger immunity boost those and other reasons may be why you might want more of it at a time.
Does Lions Mane cause any side effects? There are documented cases of a small percentage of people developing a mild allergic reaction to Lions mane. Effects include a mild rash or allergy effect. Anyone allergic to mushrooms should use caution when trying Lions Mane.
