TURKEY TAIL
Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) Mushrooms have been used in Europe and Asia for centuries and more recently here in the U.S. for its Immune boosting health benefits and is one of the most studied of all medicinal mushrooms. The name versicolor refers to this mushroom growing with a large variety of colors, sometimes looking like little rainbow-colored miniature fans. These mushrooms are quite common here in the Hocking Hills. Turkey tail is a powerful antioxidant which helps balance the bodies system from oxidative stress on otherwise healthy cells. It has been used successfully on various types of cancers including breast, gastric, and stomach. Turkey tail also has been successfully found to assist with HPV, improve gut health, reduce Inflammation, improve insulin resistance, and improve athletic abilities.
We recommend that you take 10-15 drops twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. You may start with a lower dose to test for any possible allergies to Turkey Tail, they are rare unless you tend to have mushroom allergies. It does not matter if you take it before or after a meal. Turkey Tail has a mild mushroom taste, but very light. You can also taste with our duel extracted potent tincture the hint of vodka, which is the alcohol base used to keep your tincture fresh and vibrant. Every body is different, suggested maximum daily dosage would be 8-10 grams and a minimum of 20-30 drops, 1.5 to 2 grams per day to see results in immune boosting qualities. Some leading manufactures of Turkey Tail tinctures recommend 45 drops twice a day, about 6 grams. Our tincture is very potent and would suggest 2-4 grams daily. About 15 drops of tincture equals 1 gram.
Why would you want to take more than 20-30 drops a day? If you are taking Turkey Tail and have been diagnosed with cancer or another immune system disease you may want to take more to boost your immune system. Some cancer treatment centers are suggesting Turkey tail to supplement Chemotherapy and or Radiation.
